Oyo Democratic Alliance (OYDA) has commended Gov. Seyi Makinde for heeding to its call to investigate and audit the financial transactions of the 68 local government areas and the LCDAs of the state from their first day of inception in office. OYDA described the step as “a welcome development”.

The committee is headed by a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and immediate past senator representing Oyo Central, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu. Other members of the committee include; the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Bayo Lawal; Prof. Kolapo Hamzat, Mr Joseph Olaitan and Mr Aderemi Akintola.
