The Alliance described the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde and other government functionaries in the state task force against COVID-19 as commendable and excellent as they continue to battle against the global pandemic.

The Alliance in a statement issued and signed by its Chairman Mr. Wole Adedoyin said, the provision of palliatives to the less privilege people of the state was a welcome development going by the agony the citizenry had been going through for the past couple of weeks that the lockdown started.

“The food intervention has further proven the governor’s sensitivity, love and concern for the people of the State.”

While commending Governor Seyi Makinde for the Covid-19 palliative currently giving out to the less privileged people of the state, the Alliance described the Governor as a sensitive and responsive leader who listens to the yearning of the people to take appropriate steps at the right time.

The group finally warned Oyo State citizens against complacency and carelessness in the way they go about the new life reminding that Gov. Seyi Makinde has laid down some preventive measures to be adhered to strictly for the sake of survival.

Oyo Democratic Alliance (ODA) has warned the former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Alao Akala to concentrate on his 2023 Governorship ambition and leave Gov. Seyi Makinde to concentrate on ways of revitalizing and enhancing the economic growth of Oyo State.
